HDS Admissions Events Calendar

Our virtual events are designed to introduce our degree programs, discuss each application component, and learn about our community.

Open House

This past fall, we hosted a daylong virtual event with a variety of synchronous and asynchronous sessions for prospective students to learn more about Harvard Divinity School, our degree programs, and the HDS community. There were ample opportunities throughout the day to pop in and out of events and ask any questions.

Academic and Student Life

The faculty leads of three of our degree programs — the Master of Theological Studies (MTS), Master of Divinity (MDiv), and Master of Religion and Public Life (MRPL) welcomed prospective students to informational session desgined to help prospective students discern which program is the right fit for them. These hour-long webinars also provided insight from current and former HDS students about their experiences with these programs and how they made their decision.

We have also offered two additional sessions for prospective students to hear about applying to HDS as a mid-career applicant, and from the Office of Financial Aid about commonly asked questions regarding HDS' institutional grant aid.

The Association of Academic Divinity Schools (AADS)

The Association of Academic Divinity Schools (AADS) is a collaborative organization comprised of seven member institutions – Candler School of Theology, University of Chicago Divinity School, Duke Divinity School, Harvard Divinity School, Union Theological Seminary, Vanderbilt Divinity School, and Yale Divinity School. The AADS provides opportunities for prospective students to connect with each member school and learn about their graduate studies in religion and other offerings.

Preview Days

HDS hosted two in-person, full-day events where prospective students were welcome to visit campus and connect with HDS students, sit in on a mock class led by an HDS faculty member, and take a tour of the HDS campus.
